Empire Review FULL METAL JACKET - 3 out of 5  (8/16/2001) Based on Gustav Hasford's novel "The Short-Timers", Stanley Kubrick's FULL METAL JACKET (1987) at the time seemed like a belated entry into the feature films that began taking on the United States' Vietnam debacle. Tom if you don't know, the 1,33:1 aspect ratio of the film or the basic FULL FRAME, is the original way, Stanley Kubrick wants to shot that movie, so if you want, continue searching for the widescreen version, but have in mind that DON'T EXIST! aprt from that... the movie is a piece of art.   more >> Customer Review Kubrick Would Die again if he saw this transfer! - 2.25 out of 5  (8/8/2001) Two Words: Full Frame.
